A Conversation with the keeper of Sudan and the last Northern White rhinos.
Advocates4Earth hosts the 3rd ANNUAL YOUTH SYMPOSIUM ON HUMAN RIGHTS AND SOCIO-ECOLOGICAL TRANSFORMATION in Bulawayo/Hwange, Zimbabwe from the 12th – 13th of November 2020. The theme of the Symposium is ‘Adaptation’.
The Annual Youth Symposium on Human Rights and Socio-Ecological Transformation seeks to build a united movement of concerned and well informed young environmental activists in the community, civil society, academia, labour, research institutions and political parties who research and actively advance the cause for a socio-ecological transformation in Zimbabwe and Sub-Saharan Africa.
For this symposium, Advocates4Earth are looking for abstracts/proposals that are grounded in the social, economic and environmental human rights impacts of business and the extractive industries in Zimbabwe. The organisers and editorial team will compile the final papers into the People and Earth Journal (Volume 3: 2020) to be published later in 2020.
This symposium targets young scholars and researchers working in African universities and research centres; youth representatives amongst labour unions, practitioners and civil society activists working in the areas of extractives, environmental, social and economic justice, human rights, resource governance, and other issues in the broad area of sustainable development.
Climate Justice and Just Transition Workshop for Young Workers & Environmentalists to be held 24 and 25 November 2020 at the Kadoma Hotel and Conference Centre in Zimbabwe.
