The Advocates4Earth team consists of youthful and passionate environmental activists. The team is multidisciplinary – made up of qualified environmental lawyers, journalists, scientists, ecologists, development practitioners and activists. Lenin Tinashe Chisaira

Founder & Director | Environmental Lawyer

Climate Justice, Extractives and Renewable Energy

Lenin is a qualified environmental lawyer.  He holds an LLM (International Human Rights Law and Public Policy) with the University College Cork, Ireland; an LLM (Economic Regulation) and a PGCert (Environmental and Natural Resources Law) with the University of London; and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Zimbabwe.  He has had experience working with civil society organisations, social movements and campaigns such as the Zimbabwe Coalition on Debt and Development, Zimbabwe Environmental Law Association, and the Southern Africa Campaign to Dismantle Corporate Power. He is a member of the Law Society of Zimbabwe and the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law

Tinotenda Natasha Kane

Press and Communications Assistant

Natasha is a qualified journalist.  She holds a National Diploma in Mass Communication from Harare Polytechnic College.  She has had experience working with companies like Zimpapers  (The Herald and Star FM) and ZETDC. She is also experienced in graphic designing.

Rufaro Nyasha Matsika

Environmental & Climate Research Assistant

Environmental Science and Climate Justice

Rufaro is a qualified environment scientist.  She holds a BSc Honours Degree in Environmental Science and Technology from Chinhoyi University. Rufaro is currently studying a Master’s Program in Safety, Health and Environmental Management with Midlands State University.  She has had experience working at the Scientific Industrial Research and Development Centre (SIRDC-ESI).

Kudakwashe Munemo

Finance and Administration Consultant

Climate Justice, Extractives and Renewable Energy

Kuda holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree in Finance from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST). He works with the Institute for Young Women’s Development.

Tanyaradzwa Rachel Muzenda

Campaigns and Litigation Coordinator (Acting)

Animal Law, Human Rights and Environmental Justice

Tanyaradzwa is a qualified environmental lawyer.  She holds a Bachelors of Laws from the University of Zimbabwe.  She has experience working with civil society organisations and campaigns such as the Speak Out for Animals (SOFA), Dube/Banda Nzarayapenga Legal Practitioners. She previously worked as an Environmental Law Associate with Advocates4Earth.

Sandra Masike

Wildlife and Conservation Research Assistant

Wildlife, Biodiversity and Nature

Sandra is a qualified ecologist.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences majoring in Ecology and Zoology from the University of Zimbabwe. She has had experience working with African Lion and Environmental Trust (ALERT). She is a member of the Zimbabwe Youth Biodiversity Network (ZYBN) and African Youth Initiative on Climate Change (AYICCZim).

Sandi Dube

Volunteers Manager/Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant

Environment, Communities and Development

Sandi is a qualified development practitioner and advocate.  She holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Social Sciences Degree in Development Studies. She is currently doing a special Honours Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation.   She has had experience working with the less privileged and was part of the Bulawayo Junior City Council. Sandi has also worked in different sectors such as promotion of cash crop farming, sexual reproductive health right advocate and in building resilience within communities through internal saving and lending (ISAL), hygiene and sanitation, crop production and livestock production.

Kuda is a qualified legal practitioner. He holds a Bachelor of Laws Honours Degree Masters in Development Studies from the Midlands State University. Currently in private practice, he has worked with civil society organisations such as the Women and Law in Southern Africa.
